W. A. (Billy) Gawn was born in rural County Antrim, Northern Ireland, in 1933 and has lived there all his life. A successful farmer and builder, he took up dowsing as a young man and has spent many decades improving his technique. Billy is now regarded by many as one of most experienced living practitioners of the skill and is one of Britain’s most experienced earth energy dowsers.

His work spans several decades, and he is the author of numerous articles on the subject. However, this is the first time that his astonishing life’s work has been gathered together in one place. It displays a crystal-clear understanding of the reasons for the emergence of life, the universe and more or less everything - and from

a very different viewpoint.

In 1995, Billy founded the Earth Energies Group (EEG) of the British Society of Dowsers (BSD) and remained its Chair for the next decade. He has a number of journal articles in the public domain, and self-published the book Megalithic Structures : Why? (reprinted 2009)
